Playground was just updated recently and it will more than likely be vandalized by hood rats who have no business being there.

Unlike the gang-fight that happened on Revere Beach a couple of weeks ago, the playground is not state property, nor is it "outside" the city's jurisdiction. Hopefully, this time, the Mayor's office will ask the police to crack down on this kind of activity, since these kids will no doubt realize that if there are no consequences to taking about drugs and swearing and so on in front of toddlers, there will probably be no consequences for taking about drugs to, and selling drugs to these toddlers and children.

I am really hoping that Revere's government will take more of an active stance against the crime in this city.... I have owned property here for nearly twenty years and there really is no excuse for Revere, a sea-coast city with a beautiful beach to be a gangland ghetto. This city should be a hotspot for upwardly mobile professionals--people should be struggling to get into Revere because of its beautiful beaches and (still) reasonably affordable homes, not striving to leave the city because of its hopeless and helpless posture in the face of teenage youth-gangs, drunks, bums, and drug-addicted "toughs".

I am ashamed of the way Revere's government's singular lack of response on this board..... Hopefully, they will change their attitude. Or, perhaps, next election, we can change out the government for a more effective one that has Revere's civic health as a priority.

We have asked the Police to monitor the parks which they do when teenages hang out in the evenings. Any time during daytime hours that parents feel that teenagers are not behaving appropriately should call Revere Police Dept. at 781-284-1212 (non-emergency).
